She co-owned Marquis GMAC Real Estate with her husband Tom, which they merged into Kinlin Grover GMAC Real Estate in 2006. Shari has a long history of leadership and involvement in the Realtor Association. She was the 2000 President of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors. She is the recipient of many honors including the 1996 Realtor of the Year for both the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board. She has also been awarded the NAR Omega Tau Rho Award and was honored by The Banker and Tradesman in 1999 as one of "The 25 People In Real Estate". She also has chaired many committees for and served on the Board of Directors for Greater Boston, Massachusetts and the National Associations of Realtors. She was also a founding Director of the MLS Property Information Network. .
Shari has earned several real estate designations including:
GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute, A program consisting of 6 advanced courses in real estate sales. She has also served as a "Dean" of the GRI Program.
ABR, Accredited Buyer Representative, A program designed to real estate agents the basic and advanced techniques of representing buyers in the real estate transaction.
CRB, Certified Brokerage Management. These courses are designed to teach the real estate broker the skills and knowledge needed to successfully manage a real estate company..
E-PRO, Electronically proficient Realtor, One of the first in MA
SHR, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource. These courses a designed to educate the real estate professional with the skills and knowledge to counsel sellers who might be facing foreclosure with options such as a short sale and facilitate the short sale process.
LMR, Loss Mitigation Network, Program designed to educatate brokers regarding working with the asset management companies, lenders , HUD and agencies such as FDIC,Freddie Mac, Fannin Mae and others to list and sell foreclosed or REO properties.
Shari has served as a Trustee for "The Pilgrim Society and Pilgrim Hall Museum " for the past ten years. Shari and her husband Tom have lived on the South Shore for the past twenty-five years and they have two grown daughters. Shari enjoys golf and boating in her spare time.
